Description:
The ELY Center of Varsinais-Finland is requesting an offer regarding the following to be implemented in 2023:
- Monitoring of the operation of the fishway at the Kymijoki Korkeakoski power plant,
- Monitoring of fish entering the Kymijoki Korkeakoski branch and
- Monitoring of the operation of the fishway at the Kymijoki Koivukoski power plant.
The project will be implementedin the area of the Koivukoski and Korkeakoski branches of the Kymijoki in the city of Kotka, in the fish ways of the Koivukoski and Korkeakoski power plants, and in the lower reaches of the Korkeakoski branch (Didson study).not for fish stocks. A use plan has been drawn up for the use of the payments (4029/5722/2017 8 December 2017), according to which part of the funds will be used for monitoring projects of Kymijoki fish stocks. The aim of the operation in the lower part of Kymijoki is to support and increase the naturally increasing migratory fish stocks and to maintain the fisheryopportunities by planting. Korkeakoski and Koivukoski fishways are key structures that aim to promote natural reproduction in Kymijoki. Monitoring their functionality every year in a comparable way with previous years is important.
The project should be implemented alreadyduring the hike in May-October 2023.
The annual report will be prepared and delivered to the customer by January 31, 2024.
The procurement includes options for the years 2024 and 2025.
