- Description:
- The object of direct procurement is Laboratory equipment for the YTA region (Northern Ostrobothnia welfare region, Lapland welfare region, Central Ostrobothnia welfare region and Kainuu welfare region). The acquisition period begins when the acquisition becomes legally binding and ends when the contracts of the new tender will enter into force, however, no later than 31 October 2026. Contracts for laboratory supplies that ended on 30 April 2026 will be continued with direct procurement. The contracts have been drawn up by the hospital district of North Ostrobothnia and selected suppliers sometimes to cover the OYS-erva area. The contracts have been transferred to the welfare region of North Ostrobothnia on January 1, 2023. The basis for direct procurement is that the conclusion of the contract is absolutely necessary and the prescribed deadlines cannot be met by the procurement unit due to extreme urgency caused by an independent, unforeseeable cause (procurement act § 40 subsection 2 point 4). Procurement is essential for patient safety, and direct procurement is needed to cover the preparation of a new tender required time. The preparation for the tender has already started. The estimated total value of the procurement for 6 months is approx. €320,000 for the YTA area. The procurement continues the contracts of the previous procurement decision under the same conditions.
