The subject of the market dialogue is the acquisition of spatial data and data transmission services that is being prepared. In the procurement, it is tentatively planned to combine three previously separate entities:
- Geospatial services
- Suomen Vaeylaet map service
- Data transmission services AVA and Palju
DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRENT SITUATION AND BACKGROUND
The task of Spatial Information and Data Transfer Services (PTP) is to provide the experts, systems, stakeholders and, through the publication of open data, also to the citizens information services and expertise that support their operations and are based on them.ntijatukea.
The starting point is that the Finnish Railways Agency does not need to solve issues related to spatial data separately for every need, but expertise and services are utilized centrally through the agency's own spatial data services, i.e. PTP.
PTP's work can be divided into management, maintenance andfor operational and expert and development work. PTP consists of various geospatial data management applications, such as interactive assembling browser map services, tools for publishing and transmitting bus data, and services related to ETL processes. Technologies basedhelp with both open source solutions and commercial products.
