• Description:
• Southeast Finland's Vitality Center requests a bid for the mowing and clearing treatments of traditional biotopes implemented with funding from the Helmi habitat program at five (5) sites in the Päijät-Häme area. You can submit a bid for one or more sites. All treatments are carried out in the period 15.08. - 06.09.2026. The managed areas of sites that are mowed annually vary between 0.6 and 1.6 ha, depending on the site. Some of the sites have small-scale occurrences of endangered plant species. The subscriber gives to operators selected for the sites, more detailed information about the species and marks the vegetation on the terrain before treatment measures. Endangered species are taken care of when mowing, and the immediate surroundings of the growths are weeded by hand, if necessary, to avoid sprouts In some of the sites, measures are also taken to control either individual or at most a few square meters of alien plant species (white bear vine, giant lupine, giant balsam), in which case the alien species must be treated on site implement in accordance with alien species legislation e.g. the selection of equipment to be used and influences the way treatment procedures are performed. The objects are mowed in the service description given according to the work instructions and the mowing material is carefully raked/collected away from the treatment area. From four out of five sites, the mowing material-clearing waste must be transported away from the treatment site to, for example, a waste station or another, by the provider himself...
