- Message Center Lokki is a cave that served as the message center of the Finnish Army Headquarters during the Continuation War in 1941-1944. Excavation of the cave began in 1939 in Naisvuori, located in the center of Mikkeli, and the premises were completed during the inter-peace period. Message center Lokki was restored for museum use in 1995. In 2021, the museum was closed for safety reasons, due to a rockfall. In the renovation that is now being carried out, the rock caves will be thickened and strengthened. In addition, the Naisvuori rock cut will be strengthened. Part most of the structures will be renewed, the HVAC and electrical systems will be renewed, and the accessibility and safety of the premises will be improved. There is no user activity in the cave during construction.
