• Description:
• The cities of the capital region (Helsinki, Vantaa and Espoo-Kauniainen) cooperate to acquire multilingual social orientation education services and childcare services mainly for immigrants who are not part of the workforce. The revised Integration Act (681/2023) is entered into force on 1 January 2025 at the same time as the reform of TE services. In the KOTO24 reform, it will be mandatory for municipalities to organize multilingual social orientation also for people outside the workforce. According to Section 25 of the Integration Act, integrating customers have organized social orientation as far as possible in their mother tongue or in other languages ​​they know well, taking into account the service and linguistic needs of the integrated clients in the municipality.
