• Description:
• The object of the procurement is the hourly work contract for the large construction sites of Hollola municipality's urban forest management. The procurement includes 11 mandatory types of work to be offered and priced. All hourly work items included in the contract are implemented in a demanding manner in an urban environment. The contract is concluded for the period between 1 May 2026 and 30 April 2027. The contract includes a 2-year option period, with which the contract can be extended until April 30, 2029. The municipality of Hollola will decide on the use of the option period by March 1, 2027. The prices are tied to Metsäala to the machine and car transport index and is checked annually in April. The municipality of Hollola owns about 2100 ha of forest in the Salpakkanka area, Hämeenkoski and on the Vesikansa side. The municipality sells timber to the forest industry annually for approximately 0.5 million. in euro. All forestry jobs are ordered from private service providers. The estimated accumulation according to the plan is approx. 4,000 mats per year (material wood, energy wood and canopy mass mats in total). Hollola municipality has the right to order hourly jobs and contract-type forestry work outside of this contract. Items outside of the agreement include, for example, trees on leased plots owned by the municipality, individual dangerous trees to be removed from roadsides and urban forests, individual storm trees or trees in public areas the tree to be felled in connection with the treatment. Items outside of this agreement may also include street construction sites, pipelines, power lines, school yards and other small-scale infrastructure sites.
