• Description:
• The Utsjoki Salmon Center follow-up planning project continues the basic work done in the Utsjoki Salmon Center preliminary investigation project (2023-2024). Lohikeskus is intended as a safe haven for the River Sami fishing tradition, culture and related livelihoods, and as an actor that strengthens tourism, research and local vitality. The preliminary study showed a clear need for Lohikeskus and strong local support. The follow-up project focuses on mapping and strengthening the ownership base committed to the project, for choosing the organizational and financial model and for the rough planning of phased construction. In addition, the planning of activities and contents, as well as the presentation of existing materials, are promoted with the representatives of the ownership base. temporarily. The project ensures that the design of Lohikeskus progresses towards the realization of the construction. The contractor works closely with the development of Utsjoki Municipality's Salmon Center with participating persons and potential representatives of other owner organizations. The responsibility of the person implementing the work is the development and negotiation work of the project, the goal of which is to carry through the negotiations on the future owner base and form of ownership successfully and to design the organizational model, financing model and preliminary content plan for the Utsjoki salmon center.
