• Sisä-Suomen elinvoimakeskus orders two Nordic net test fishing for Pirkanmaa's bird water sites: Tampere's Nuorajärvi and Kangasalan's Kirkkojärvi. Fishing will be done using standard methods in the summer of 2026. Kirkkojärvi in ​​Kangasalan has been test fished regularly at least since 2014 and managed fishing since 2017. The last test fishing was carried out in 2022. The aim of the test fishing is to determine the current state of the fishery and evaluate the effectiveness of management fishing and the scope of further management. The lake has boat ramp, e.g. in Kuuhunlahti. The surface area of ​​Kirkkojärvi is about 164 ha, the average depth is 1.9 meters and the maximum depth is 3.4 meters. There are no known previous test fishings from Lake Nuorajärvi in ​​Tampere. The lake is small (approx. 8 ha) and its shores can be difficult to navigate. The average depth of Nuorajärvi is about 2.9 m and the maximum depth is about 5 m. You can walk to the lake from its southern shore. Test fishing is done as part of the ecological monitoring of bird water restoration. The contractor is obliged to agree with the landowners about the access routes to the lake. The permit may be subject to a fee (Kirkkojärvi) and this should be taken into account in the offer. The results of test fishing and their interpretation are made in PDF format for the customer, and the results must also be reported to the test fishing register.
