Description:
The subject of this request for information and possible subsequent tender concern the online distribution system the procurement unit (Celia) is reforming. The online distribution system is demanded to distribute different types of audiobook formats for the Celia's end users. The current format that is in use is Daisy 2.02 (http://www.daisy.org), but in the future there may be several other formats e.g. epub. The end users are also offered the opportunity to download other materials in digital format. The online distribution system must scale to support large numbers of end users. The online distribution system will be integrated with Celia's other key service systems. These include a browser-based customer interface, a mobile application, a library system, a digital archive, and the Datamart analysis and statistics system. Celia's end users mainly use the service for live streaming with a mobile application or browser listening, and books can also be downloaded. Celianet (celianet.fi) and a mobile application serve as the user interface of the online distribution system. The bidding process is planned to be carried out during 2023 so that the online distribution system is ready for the operation by the end of the year.
