- The object of this procurement is the restoration dredging of valuable bird waters in two different lakes in Pieksämäki. Restoration dredging plans have been drawn up for Lake Kirkko-surnui and Vehkalami and Permits have been granted according to the Water Act. Both sites are Natura 2000 areas, the second site, Kirkko-surnui, is also a nature reserve. Both sites have been assigned a camping site near Pieksämäki Airport. The objects are located approx. 7 km apart and the intention is to implement them as one project. Both dredgings are carried out according to the plans drawn up for them with a floating pontoon excavator and with the help of barges. In the plans, the estimated mass quantities to be spread are 12,300 M3ktr at Kirkko-surnu and 14,000 M3ktr at Vehkalami. There's No Counting on the Masses...
