Description:
The city of Sastamala is asking for offers for the preparation of a groundwater protection plan. The aim is to update and harmonize the protection plans for groundwater areas drawn up at different times. In addition, a protection plan is drawn up for the groundwater areas from which the plan does not exist yet. The aim of the protection plan is to prevent the quality of groundwater quality and to safeguard the intake of groundwater without unnecessarily restricting land use in the area. A groundwater protection plan is a report and a guidance that takes into account, for example, in land use planning and under the control of authorities. The protection plan has no independent legal effects. The content of the groundwater protection plan and its preparation is regulated by law on the organization of water and marine management. Koppalainen and Nokari (2014) Houhajarvi and Sammaljoki (2020). No protection plan yet: Roismala, Salmi, Heinijarvi and Pynnankangas. The groundwater area of Pynnankangas is mainly on the Urjala side. Mapped on the Sastamala side (1.5 km share) risk factors in the Pynnankangas groundwater area and defined required conservation measures.
