Kytoepuisto multicultural elementary school is located in the Havukoski district, in Koivukylae, along good transport connections. The area is bordered by Rekola in the north, Paeivaekumpu in the east, Hiekkaharju in the south.

Kytoepuisto school has about 445 students, and the students come to the school mainly from the neighborhoods of Havu-koski and Koivukylae.
The investment in the repair and alteration work of the school building is necessary, because based on condition and indoor air surveys, the buildings is currently in need of renovation. There are indoor air problems in the school, which have been fixed as maintenance work. The current premises will continue to be needed.
The Kytoepuisto school building was completed in 1980, designed in the 1970s and represents typical 70s school architecture. Material choices have been a good basic level, typical materials of their time. The facades and internal partition walls are mostly brick. The brick surfaces in the dental care facilities have been painted over. The floor surfaces are concrete mosaic on the stairs, quartz vinyl tile and plastic carpet in the corridors and classrooms. Come ontot are mineral wool sheets hung in the corridors and glued to the ceiling in the classrooms, the edges of which are unprotected and in the current situation look dirty and dusty. The wool sheets of the lowered ceilings in the corridors have been partially renewed. The level of equipment is mainly the level of the 1980s.
