• The cultural services of the city of Salo (procurement unit/customer) requests offers for swimming lessons for grades 5-6 in accordance with this call for tenders and its appendices for the fall semester 2026. The goal is that the contract period begins in August 2026 and that the schools we will be allowed to swim from September 2026. Swimming lessons follow the 29.10.2020 recommendation of the Finnish National Board of Education, the Professional Association of Teachers, the Norwegian Municipalities and SUH in Appendix 1 of the call for tenders: Safe swimming lessons. Swimming lessons are coming organizes 5.-6. for students during the fall semester 2026 (August-December). The place for swimming lessons is the Salo swimming pool. The subscriber is responsible for the students' swimming hall fees and transport costs. Swimming lessons must take into account the basic education curriculum according to the objectives. Swimming lessons should promote the development of the student's swimming skills so that the student is able to move in the water and save himself from the water. About 1,000 students are enrolled in swimming lessons. The average size of the teaching group is an average of 20 students. Each teaching group is given a total of four hours of swimming lessons. One lesson includes a two-hour (120 min) swimming lesson for one group. The quantity is based on the customer's currently known estimate, and it is not as such binding on the subscriber.
