Description: Suur-Savon Sähkö Oy will build an electric storage in Vaajakoski in connection with the hydropower plant, which is connected to the medium voltage switchgear alongside the generator units. The electrical warehouse is primarily used for continuous frequency control of the electrical power system as a frequency-controlled operating reserve (frequency stabilization reserve, FCR-N) and secondary in other electricity markets, to support the power control of the hydroelectric power plant and as a reserve for power grid disruptions.
The acquisition focuses on the electrical storage battery system, which is modular in structure and consists of four (4) identical and independent battery unit. Each battery unit consists of identical battery packages that are connected to each other with each other in the Battery Unit's DC compilation unit, as well as auxiliary, steering and switching fields that include the necessary auxiliary, automation and telecommunications equipment, possible unit-specific protective equipment, and connecting cable unit.
