Description: The Elogbook (= Electronic logbook) system is owned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The Elogbook system will be developed and maintained in cooperation with the MMM and the Food Agency. The use of the Elogbook system is based on EU legislation on the control of maritime fishing (CFP). by The Elogbook system is in use (about 50 pcs) in more than 12-metric commercial Finnish fishing vessels and records all fishing events electronically. Some of the vessels fish in the entire Baltic Sea region and to dismantle their catches for non-Finnish ports.
