INVITATION TO MARKET DIALOGUE The target of the market dialogue is the acquisition Rail Nordica, planning services 2026-2030, which is being prepared by the Finnish Railways Agency. OBJECTIVES OF THE DESIGN PROJECT- To ensure the administrative readiness of the project to move to the implementation phase (optimized promotion of construction readiness by sub-entities).- Ensures, through active stakeholder cooperation, the commitment of the project parties to the schedule and the progress of the necessary administrative processes.- Produces timely information for decision-making to ensure the smooth progress of the Rail Nordica project- Meets TEN-T requirements and takes care of the implementation of a technically high-quality standard gauge system in Finland. CONTENTS OF THE DESIGN PROJECT The project format is a collaborative design project including the development phase and the design implementation phase. In the development phase, among other things, the content of the project is defined, the scope of the master plan, an EIA program will be drawn up, and the operating model and management system for the implementation phase will be created. In the Rail Nordica project, a connection with European gauge is planned starting from Haaparanna in the Tornio and Kemi regions. In addition, the design includes, for example, Tornio—Roeytta connection gap, one new transfer loading place and the Tornionjoki railway bridge. The design includes different design phases as well as the necessary separate surveys, measurements and ground surveys.
