Rail Nordica, planning services 2026-2030 The procurement is part of the mandated project "Planning of rail connections of European gauge gauge Tornio—Haaparanta—Kemi". CONTENTS OF THE PLANNING PROJECT In the Rail Nordica project, a connection with normal track width is planned From Haaparanna in the Tornio and Kemi regions. In addition, the planning includes, for example, the Tornio—Röytta and Kemi—Röytta connection intervals, possible cross-border connections in the Tornio region, and one new transfer loading point. Design includes different design phases as well as the necessary separate surveys, measurements and ground surveys. The project format is a collaborative design project including a development phase and a design implementation phase. In the development phase, among other things, the content of the project is defined and the scope of the master plan, an EIA program is drawn up, and an operating model and management system for the implementation phase are created. The development phase is scheduled for 2026. Separate agreements will be concluded for the development phase and the possible implementation phase. The development stage during which the prerequisites for transitioning to the implementation phase are evaluated and the customer decides on the initiation of the implementation phase. OBJECTIVES OF THE PLANNING PROJECT- To ensure the administrative readiness of the project to move to the implementation phase (promotion of construction readiness optimized by sub-entity).- Through active stakeholder cooperation, ensures the commitment of the project parties to the schedule and the progress of the necessary administrative processes.- Produces the right time for decision-making...
