- Description:
- The maintenance of the track and safety equipment in maintenance area 1 (Uusimaa) is carried out as a service alliance. The alliance is made up of the customers, the track's superstructure maintainer and the track's safety equipment maintainer. The subscriber simultaneously starts his own in its procurement of the track safety equipment maintainer for maintenance area 1. The object of this procurement is the maintenance of the superstructure of the service alliance. The service alliance agreement includes a development phase from 1 August 2026 to 31 March 2027. To maintenance area 1 includes about 300 km of mostly multi-track track, about 1,100 switches, about 370 culverts and about 46.5 km of rock cuttings, and about 450 bridges, of which about 380 are the actual bridges of the railway network. Maintenance area 1 also includes Espoo, Malminkartano, Kivistö, Lentoasema and Savio, Labbacka and Vuorela (Riihimäki triple rail) tunnels. The total length of the tunnels is about 23.3 km. of track superstructure, gears, track equipment and devices, as well as undercarriage and maintenance of foundation structures. Track maintenance also includes maintenance of bridges, culverts and railway tunnels. Regarding the maintenance of railway tunnels, the maintenance of their technical systems is also included in the track maintenance.
