Description:
The goal of the Rauma stoppage project is to enable smooth and regular passenger traffic to Rauma on the Kokemaki Rauma railway section. The project will build a stop (Rauma center) for passenger traffic. The stand-by platform is a 120-meter-long line platform located on the north side of the track. In addition, the project will build a new light traffic lane between Leikarinpolu and the platform, connecting parking on the north side of the track to Leikarinkatu, and a maintenance and rescue road via Hakunintie (vt12). The project is located on the railway section Kokemaki-Rauma, railway km 0330+0315 0330+0550. The procurement concerns Rauma construction and control of the city center standstill. The project implementation schedule is 1-11/2026. Passenger traffic from the standstill will start in March 2027. The work also includes tasks during the warranty period until 12/2029. A track plan has been prepared for the site, which was approved on April 21, 2021. Construction planning is underway and will be ready for contract calculation in January 2026 and ready for construction in March 2026. The task is described in more detail in the tender documents.
