- The HUS Group is requesting offers for patient and staff food. Patient and staff meals refer to ready-made meals specified in the request for tender and its appendices
The object of this procurement is the dishes for the patient and staff meals needed during the evacuation of Meilahti's production kitchen, whichka is currently made in the production kitchen itself.
Meilahti's production kitchen prepares Meilahti's campus area meals for patients, staff and order-serving customers. All meals of the day are prepared for around 1,100 patients every day of the year, and approx. 3,500 staff on weekdayslunch meals for those who belong to There are approx. 400 staff meals on weekends. The staff eats in the lunch restaurants connected to the seven service kitchens. The building of Meilahti's production kitchen will be demolished and a new kitchen will be built in place of the old one. The kitchen has to be avoided for about fivelost for a year. It is not possible to prepare food in the shelters. Patient food is distributed cold to patient-specific trays in emergency rooms. Food is heated in cook and chill carts in patient wards. The trolley heats the food, but does not cook it. Therefore, the dishes chosen for patients on must be ripe. The food served in the lunch restaurants is cooked or heated in the service kitchens connected to the lunch restaurants with multi-function ovens.
