Description:
The City of Vantaa's Premises Management is requesting a bid for the structural and foundation design of the Viertola school renovation and expansion project as specified in the request for bids and in the attachments.

Viertola school (Liljatie unit) is a one-story school building, which was completed in 1991. The school is being expanded into a unified school, which will have a capacity of approximately 718 students.
The existing school is being renovated to meet the growing number of students andneeds according to the current curriculum, and repair work is carried out to improve indoor air quality. The operating conditions of the kitchen as a service kitchen will be improved. The condition level and functional level of the HVAC systems will be improved and enhanced, taking into account energy efficiency.
The extension will be implementedbasic equipped learning areas, subject teaching facilities and a small gymnasium with a low ceiling to compensate for the missing outdoor exercise facilities.
In addition to the school building, the site has a one-story temporary day-care pavilion completed in 2001, which will be demolished. The school yard will be renovated around the school and nearbyThe use of the area's residents and the functionality and safety of the yard's maintenance and escort traffic will be improved.
The repair project is estimated to be completed towards the end of 2027.
