Description:
The acquisition focuses on one (1) engine-assisted device that can automatically dispense patient doses of radiopharmaceuticals used for PET operations and automatically inject them into the patient (later radii medicine). The device should be suitable for the hospital environment andEspecially for injections related to PET-TT and PET-FMK imaging. Users are other trained health care personnel. At the moment, the unit has two radioclames (Automatti injectors), one of which is replaced by a radiotherapykor under procurement. In the unitCF18-PB lead protectors are used, with which the device to be purchased must be compatible. The device is located in the premises of the HUS imaging at the Meilahti Isotope Unit. Two PET-TT devices and one PET-MK device are located on the premises. In 2024, the Isotope Unit of Meilahti Hospital was madeabout 3,600 PET-TT studies and 230 PET-MK studies. Research volumes are expected to continue to grow. The radio medication to be purchased should be suitable for smooth and effective dosing and injections in a demanding university hospital environment, minimizing the radiation exposure of staff and patients.It is essential for the smooth operation that the equipment to be purchased can, if necessary, provide several (at least two) simultaneous automatic patient injections to patients with different devices.
