Description:
The Government Office (VNK) is responsible for the joint administrative and service tasks of the Government and its ministries. The Government Office takes care of the translation and language services of all ministries for both national languages and other languages. More information on the activities of the ministries is available on the ministries' websites, see https://valtioneuvosto.fi/ministeriot.
The Chancellery of the Government is preparing the procurement of the translation services needed for the This is Finland website (https://finland.fi/) produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The articles on the This is Finland website are part of Finland landscape work, which is used to tell the story of Finland in the world. The articles deal with Finnish life, culture, nature, society and companies. The translated texts are journalistic in style. The tone of the texts is influenced by marketing communication, but it is not the point from advertising. Translations are mainly needed from English to Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, French, German and Russian.
