- With this request for information, the HUS corporation (hereinafter HUS) initiates a market survey for a future acquisition. The aim of this advance notification is to find providers operating in the field, to get information about solutions on the market and to inform about plans for future procurement. Those involved in the procurement the parties will become more specific as the procurement preparation progresses.
PROCUREMENT OBJECT:
The object of the procurement is tissue support networks, which are used in various specialties in surgery: general surgery (including inguinal hernia procedures), gynecology, urology and breast surgery. The acquisition also includes biological tissue supports and attachment systems for tissue support networks.
The acquisition includes the following product groups:
- Inguinal hernia nets
- Abdominal hernias
- Melting nets
- Gynecological nets
- Stomatal webs
- Tissue support nets (ePTFE= made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene material)
- Soluble tissue support networks for repairs of inguinal and abdominal hernias
- Glue applicators
- Fastening system
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION regarding ePTFE tissue support mesh: the product is made of biostable from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) material. The tissue support network has two different surface structures, the so-called two-sided biomaterial (one side textured and the other smooth). The textured side promotes tissue integration, while the smooth side reduces the formation of adhesions.
