Developing Fisheries Tourism Competence on Utsjoki project The main goal of the project is to secure the fishing industry in the Tenojoki Valley by developing new services and earning models to support the growth of international tourism. The project will ensure regional expertise as well as localsfurther development and strengthening of corporate capabilities in a changed tourism environment. During the project, companies will participate in product development work, which will result in new competitive services for international customers for fishing tourism in the Utsjoki municipality areaIn connection with the Fishing Culture of the River Description River Valley and a tourist product to be developed at the event, the event has been discussed about a tourist -based service product that could combine a local fishing culture (accompanied by history, traditional information and local knowledge) and adventure serviceas part of a comprehensive tourist product. This product development work aims to increase the utilization rate of the accommodation facilities of companies in the salmon -based business by providing a consistent and attractive adventure service for international customers.
