- The object of procurement are laboratory and industrial chemicals. The procurement is divided into two (2) parts: 1. Laboratory chemicals 2. Industrial chemicals The same or different suppliers can be selected for the sub-assemblies. LABORATORY CHEMICALS It is done at VTT project-based research. The nature of the assigned research varies and affects the procurement needs of the laboratory chemicals to be procured. Based on the order history, VTT's number of titles is several hundred, and the same titles are not necessarily used repeatedly. The consumption of laboratory chemicals may change, increase or decrease, as the research activity changes. The supplier should note that VTT has a lot of one-time order needs. In some studies, only a certain product from a certain manufacturer comes to the question, e.g. to ensure the reliability of the research. These include, for example, chemicals that are used in long-lasting projects or in accredited analysis methods. INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS VTT's operating environment requires that the range of industrial chemicals is wide and covers both those in standard use and those that support more specialized research and product development work. In some cases, only a certain chemical from a certain manufacturer is suitable for the intended use, for example in long-term studies or accredited analysis methods.
