Description:
The background of the Background is a renovation project of the Tornionjoki River and its tributaries on both Finland and Sweden. The aim of the project is to restore human -edited environments closer to natural state, and Thus, protect the area's habitats, plants and animals. The project time is 2023-2030. The project implements eg. Removals of hiking and spreading barriers, restoration of marshes, and streaming water repairs. The Finnish Forestry Center is responsible for restoring private marshes in Finland in the project. The project has placed plans for restoration of the Riivehjanka and Olosjoki swamp (Pitkakoski). Acquisition of procurement Finnish Forestry Center requests offers to restore marshes in accordance with Annexes 1, 2 and 3 (Annex 1 Item and General Guidelines for Restoration of Mires, Appendix 2 Olosjoki Target Target Plans and maps and Appendix 3 Riivijanka's site -specific plans and maps). If desired, the operator will receive spatial data from the Forest Center regarding the restoration plan. The plans are part of the Triwa Life project.
