Description:
Municipalities must submit construction and land use information to the national Built Environment Information System (Ryhti) no later than January 1, 2029. The delivery of information requires the development of software used by municipalities, for which The Ministry of the Environment grants grants to municipalities for partner testing projects. In Jyväskylä, construction and land use information is produced and managed in the Trimble Locus system. The city of Jyväskylä has decided to participate in the Ryhti-Kheyts to the Trimble Locus system" project by the decision of the branch director of urban construction services §10/2025. The Ministry of the Environment decided on 22 October 2025 to grant the project a grant of €325,000. The project will be implemented in four cities as a cooperation project. In addition to Jyväskylä, the city of Lahti, the city of Oulu and the city of Iisalmi are involved. Jyväskylä acts as the main applicant in the project, i.e. the so-called as a technical administrator and is responsible for the procurement of the purchasing service included in the project. As a partner and the system/software developer is Trimble Finland Oy. The Ministry of the Environment can reimburse the costs of the project in full, up to the granted grant amount. The information systems and software development work carried out in the project will be shared with others without compensation for user groups. The software development work performed in the project is procured from Trimble Finland Oy as a direct purchase.
