• The object of the procurement is a self-care supply system to be used by the social, health and rescue industry of the City of Helsinki, which is acquired as a total service provided by the system supplier. Social, health and rescue department of the city of Helsinki produces well-being, health and safety for the people of Helsinki with strong expertise and cooperation. Health and substance abuse services are one of the city's social services. It takes care of basic healthcare outpatient care and adults health counseling at health stations, internal medicine outpatient clinic operations, emergency room and oral health care. The service package also provides mental health and substance abuse services for adults, as well as psychiatric special medical care services. Helsinki the city's self-care supplies distribution is a service produced by the health and substance abuse service unit, which distributes free care supplies needed for self-care to the city's residents, pursuant to Section 24 of the Health Care Act. Free care supplies are handed over for the treatment of an illness when the patient has needed them for the treatment of his illness for at least three months. The exception is the need due to a permanent illness, for example diabetes, catheter and stoma patients, for which self-care supplies can be donated right from the start of the illness.
