• Description:
• The University of Jyvaskyla acquires a server virtualization solution with hardware, software and user rights. The procured solution includes server hardware to be placed in the customer's data center, a storage system (block storage) and a VMware virtualization platform based solution set.
  The solution package must offer a hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), which implements the lifecycle management of the system package and enables software control of the solution environment.
  The solution to be acquired expands the one acquired in 2025 solution configuration (based on Dell VxRAIL VE-660 Dynamic Node and PowerStore systems), which will be accompanied by a similar solution for another data center used by the customer.
  The acquired system solution must be a technology solution based on a single device manufacturer's solution, where the whole entity works seamlessly together and is managed by one and the same management system.
  System capacity (CPU power and storage space) can be scaled independently of each other and easily changed if necessary as needs grow. The system to be purchased is fault tolerant and has a high level of availability (High Availability).
  The service life and life cycle of the solution to be purchased must be at least 5 years (one year is an option for the storage system).
