Kontiolahti municipality's development company Kontionloikka serves companies in the area of Kontiolahti municipality. Kontionloikka offers high-quality, free and confidential services for business consulting and business development. In addition, the company manages development projects. In the Grow from events project the events and event cooperation of the Koli tourist area, Kontiolahti municipality, Joensuu and the Pielisen-Karelia region are developed. The goal of the project is to strengthen cooperation between tourism and event operators and to increase the attraction of the area through high-quality and attractive events. The project aims to create innovative event concepts, improve digital accessibility and increase the number of visitors to events. Lieksan Kehitys Oy LieKe acts as the manager and main implementer of the project. Kontioloikka Oy has a partial implementation of the project. The implementation period is 1 January 2025-31 December 2027. with the help of the information, new information about the social benefits of the Kontiolahti biathlon center's area in relation to the money invested is obtained for the project and the area's event community.
