- The city of Helsinki's urban environment department is requesting your offer for expert services for surveys on traffic and movement. The procurement is divided into two (2) different areas as follows: Subarea 1: Movement habits and travel diary studies Sub-area 2: Opinion surveys about transport The procurement items are described in more detail in the request for tenders and its attachments. Some of the appendices are sub-area specific and these appendices are marked with the relevant sub-area's code (OA1 and OA2). If the appendix does not have a sub-area code, the appendix is common to both sub-areas. Sub-area 1 studies include surveys, the main purpose of which is to collect information on people's movement habits and behavior for example, through travel diary research. Indicators of movement generated in the study are, for example, the number of trips (trips/day/person) and the distribution of modes of transportation (the percentage of trips made by different modes of the total number of trips). Sub-area in the case of surveys, a specific survey day can be assigned to the person selected for the sample, during which the necessary information about the actual movement is requested. The reports may also include other questions regarding the respondent's background information. Research the target is the residents of Helsinki. When collecting answers, quotas can be used, for example, according to place of residence (town/suburb), age, gender and mother tongue.
