• Description:
• The isotope department of the area of ​​responsibility for clinical physiology, isotope and PET studies will move to new premises in May 2027 when the T-hospital extension is completed. For the new isotope department, there is a need to acquire synthesis units mainly for 177Lu labeled radiopharmaceuticals for self-production. Two pieces of synthesis units are needed as part of the initial furnishing. The synthesis unit contains a lead-protected class III biological safety cabinet, inside which the synthesis device is installed. The object of the acquisition is two synthesis units, one of which is 177LuPSMA-I&T and the other 177Lu-octreotide is used for self-production of radiopharmaceuticals. 177Lu-PSMA-I&T radiopharmaceutical is used for the treatment of castration-resistant prostate cancer patients and 177Lu-octreotide for neuroendocrine tumors. Early on in the future, significant cost savings will be achieved in the cancer treatments in question by self-manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals. The planning of the new isotope department's premises has taken into account the synthesis units, among other things, in terms of their width, height and weight. Units dimensioning is based on usability, cost-effectiveness and adequate radiation protection. The synthesis units have pre-defined installation points in the clean room P1032, where the units must be able to be installed without modification construction work. The load-bearing capacity of the floor of the clean room is rated for synthesis units weighing a maximum of 1,500 kg, and the absolute requirements of the units were therefore set to a maximum weight limit of 1,200 kg.
