- The HUS Group is requesting offers for tests based on nucleic acid testing for MRSA and VRE PikeliAmostics for use by the HUS Diagnostics Center (below HUS) and the ISLAB Welfare Association (hereinafter the ISLAB). Tests should be CE IVD marked and suitable for use in laboratories with the already available Geneexpert (CEPHEID) equipment. Diagnosis is done in the following HUS and Islab units: HUS Bacteriology Unit, Helsinki HUS Kymenlaakso Clinical Microbiology, Kotka HUS Southern Carella Lappeenranta Islab Clinical Microbiology Kuopio Islab Clinical Microbiology Joensuuislab Clinical Microbiology Mikkeli Consumption Estimates: HUS approx 90 VRE tests per year and about 1,300 mrsa tests per year (consumption in 2022-2024) ISLAB approximately 120 years a year ( 2022-2024) Analytics are done daily, usually during the day. The Helsinki and Islab units may also be on duty. Test consumption varies from year to year according to the epidemic situation.
