Turku is seeking carbon neutrality by 2029 and strives to adapt effectively to the effects of climate change and to strongly promote green transition throughout society. A key guiding document for the climate targets is the climate plan 2029, which decides and implementedFollow the Turku City Council each year. The City Council approved in the City Strategy on April 18, 2018. The Climate Plan 2029 was approved on June 11, 2018, and the first update of the Climate Plan 2029 on 16.5.2022 In accordance with the council decisionGroup communities and invites the surrounding civil society to be involved in climate action.
