• Description:
• The City of Turku's Urban Construction and Facilities service complex with its partner Fintraffic Tie Oy are requesting bids for the contract for the maintenance of the traffic light system in the city of Turku. SPECIFICATION (urban environment definition): A built-up urban area with pedestrian and bicycle traffic, public transport (buses) and a significant flow of vehicle traffic. Motorways or rural road sections do not, in principle, meet the requirement without the aforementioned features. The definition applies to all requirements where experience in an urban environment is required. Finntraffic Oy is involved in the procurement of the city of Turku. Finntraffic Oy authorized the city of Turku to bid for the purchase and make procurement decision. The traffic light maintenance contract is fixed-term from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2029 (3 years), after which it continues for two years on a fixed-term basis, subject to a mutual notice period of six (6) months. The entire contract period is therefore total a maximum of five (5) years ending no later than 31 May 2031. Termination must be done in writing at least nine (9) months before the end of the contract. The termination notice must state when the contract ends due to the termination. Agreement ends, however, without requiring a notice of termination no later than 31 May 2031.
