Description:
Metsahallitus Metsatalus Oy purchased transport and logistics services by covering raw wood transport (fiber and log transportation) with service supplier equipment (raw wood wagons) by full trains and collection trains. Metsahallitus Metsatalous Oy acquires and delivers to customers timber throughout Finland. State forests are usually far from industrial plants, so rail transport is in many cases the most appropriate and cost -effective option. The transportation estimate is approximately 700,000 m3 per year. Annual transport volume is distributed monthly as evenly as possible, about 60,000 m3/month. And will be refined by delivery and loading sites for the beginning of the year in December and the end of the year in June. There are 12 loading locations/starting stations and 6 supply locations/volume stations. In total, there are about 120 possible connections. The annual transport volumes by operating area are about 200,000 m3 of Southern Finland, Ostrobothnia-Kainuu about 500,000 m3. The service supplier is required to have systems compatible with Metsahallitus Metsatalous Oy's information systems, such as consignments, ordered, confirmed and supplied. Direct acquisition The contract period is: 1.2.2025-31.1.2026.
