- TIETOPYNTĂ–Yleisradio Oy (later "Yle") needs a reliable 24/7 service for reference recording of TV broadcasts, with a browser-based user interface from which past broadcasts can be viewed and downloaded to your own computer for viewing or forwarding. The recording must contain the same program content and components of the broadcast (components mean the DVB elements in the broadcast, different subtitling and audio components) as it was broadcast in linear broadcast distribution. Yle has decided that the TV reference recording will be purchased as a SaaS service (software-as-a-service). Yle's television program activities are primarily regulated by the law on Yleisradio Oy (1380/1993). Ylen's linear broadcast programs the reference recordings according to the law have been purchased as a SaaS service, where Yle's staff has been free to watch the broadcast programs as they are from the recordings. The number of users of the service is approximately 40 users per month. Yle's needs in relation to the service:1) Fulfillment of statutory requirements. 2) A tool for program creators (can check how the program went down to the viewers). 3) A technical review tool, if there have been problems with the transmission of the program, e.g. with subtitling. 4) The service must disclose DVB components of the broadcast program. Yle implements this request for information as part of the procurement preparation. In this way, we want to improve our understanding of the services offered on the market before the actual purchase.
