Description:
The target of direct procurement is 13508 Urological supplies for the YTA region of Northern Finland; for the welfare regions of Northern Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia, Lapland and Kainuu. The procurement period starts when the procurement becomes legally binding and ends when the contracts for the new bidding come into force, however by February 1, 2026 at the latest. Contracts for urological supplies, which ended on September 30, 2025, will be continued with direct purchase. The agreements have been drawn up between the North Ostrobothnia hospital district and selected suppliers to cover the OYS-erva area. The agreements have been transferred to the welfare region of Northern Ostrobothnia 1.1.2023.The basis for direct procurement is that the conclusion of the contract is absolutely necessary and the prescribed deadlines cannot be met due to the extreme urgency caused by an unforeseeable reason independent of the procuring entity (procurement act § 40 subsection 2 point 4). Acquisition is necessary from the point of view of patient safety, and direct procurement is needed to cover the time needed to prepare a new tender. It is not possible to complete the competition in an accelerated manner due to the consideration of patient care reasons. The total value of the purchase without value added tax is Northern About 600,000 euros for the YTA area, of which Pohti's share is about 400,000 euros for the period 1 October 2025 - 31 January 2026.
