- The University of Helsinki tenders its procurement of veterinary medicine for the University Veterinary Hospital. The basic contract period is valid for 2 years from the date of signing the contract, and after that there is an option for 1 1 years, one year at a time.
The university animal hospital consists of three animal hospitals: the small animal hospital,horse hospital and farm animal hospital. All species of domestic animals are treated at the hospital. In the university veterinary hospital, veterinary medicine students are taught in clinical work and clinical research is carried out. The turnover of the university veterinary hospital is around €10 million per year and the number of patients isapproximately 20,000 small animals, 10,000 farm animals (mainly cattle) and 3,500 horses per year.
The object of the procurement is the medicines presented in the appendix of the request for tenders (excel) and the other medicines and feed indicated by the tenderer (not accessories).
The tenderer is asked to give a freely chosen form of salennus percentage also for veterinary medicines and feeds offered by the bidder other than those in the comparison.
The procurement unit requests the wholesale price and the discount percentage for the products estimated to have the highest sales, for which the comparison is made by the unit calculated by the package size and the price (after the discount percentage)based on the price and the winner is selected per product line. The selection is carried out in such a way that the winner and the supplier are selected the medicinal product with the lowest price, primarily approved for use in the relevant indication for the animal species in question.
