- Pirkanmaa's ELY center launches with this procurement notice a tender to acquire a ROAD PLAN DRAWER for the project "Vt 12 improvement between Alasjaervi - Huutijaervi, Road plan; Kangasala and Tampere".
Highway 12 runs from Rauma to Tampere and Lahti to Kouvola and is Finland's mainthe best transverse transport connections. In addition to its national role, the highway also has an important regional and local significance. The highway passes through the urban structure of the Tampere urban area and acts as an important mediator of regional traffic. Valtatie is one of the regional commuter businessesof the main connections. Highway 12 is part of the central main road network defined by the Vaeylaevirasto, and the road section from Tampere to Lahti is a separately defined heavy traffic trunk connection.improvement solutions with which the road segment can meet the traffic, land use and environmental requirements set for the road connection.
The road plan includes e.g. the following sets of measures:
- highway 12 will be improved to a four-lane and central rail multi-level interchangeinto an equipped motor road between Alasjaervi Huutijaervi
- the multi-level junctions of Alasjaervi, Linnainmaa, Vatiala, Lentola, Ranta-Koivisto, Kangasala and Huutijaervi will be improved
- the measures to be taken on the project's 31 bridge
