• With this procurement notice, the Finnish Railways Agency and the city of Vaasa start the procurement procedure regarding the construction of the "Vt 8 and St 724 Vaasa connecting road" contract. The Finnish Railways Agency and the City of Vaasa are looking for candidates and groups of candidates for Vt 8 and St 724 of the Vaasa junction as an executor. The project is a pilot project of the Finnish Transport Agency, where the alliance model used is scaled to be suitable for medium-sized projects. The project will be implemented using an alliance model, where the selected contract partner will implement the construction of the project in cooperation with the Subscriber. The design partner is procured separately at the beginning of the project's development phase for the best of the project. The acquisition and integration of the design partner into the project is carried out in the alliance's best choice from a wide range of bidders. The project the development phase will start in June 2026 and the implementation phase in January 2027. In the project, the Vaasan Yhdystie will be improved into a 2+2-lane road with central guardrail and the existing interchanges will be improved.
