- 1. Overview of the project: Wood for Youth is an Interreg Central Baltic -funded international development project to improve young people's competitiveness in the wood construction sector. The project provides interactive degree programs and practical guidance that corresponds to changes in construction,such as the challenges of reducing carbon footprint and industrialization of construction processes. The changing construction industry needs a new kind of expertise. The project's answer to this is the transition to industrial wooden house construction and increasing the use of wood in construction. Wood for Youth Study ProgramIt focuses specifically on this topic, and it is built around the four areas of specialization:
• Elemental construction
• Erecting and finishing element buildings
• Design
• Project management
In connection with these topics, learning modules, which are presented as video series are developed. The videos are presentedbest practices, work processes, animations, 3D models, and interactive tasks supporting learning.
The goal is to provide students:
• Motivating and flexible learning environment
• Profit for industrial wooden building work
• Better career development opportunities in internationalIn the building sector,
